March! Gulp!

Hi bloggers,

My mind seem to be very blank these days. I don't have much thoughts. Or maybe I don't want to have thoughts. But it doesn't feel light. Actually, it's feeling pretty heavy lately. I can't explain. But now I'm BACK!! It can change the way I see things.

*Mungkin sebab sejuk hati tengok hasil kerja sendiri. If you remember about my previous entry that I've posted here, everyone asked what the purpose that I'm going to do with these flowers. So, here's a picture.

My solemnization attire :)
I also patched these flowers on my "kain". It's still in progress. And I will update later.

March is coming~

Good afternoon!

Yeah, just got back from Kak Zana shop and I'm so so so satisfied with the veil. *Cantik dan simple :) Solemnization attire also done. But I need to do a minor "do-it-yourself project" on my attire. *Nanti saya akan review selepas siap hasilnya okay. Here is the picture of my veil. No teaser teaser. Haha!

My niece jadi mangsa ;p

Currently, I'm wrapping the door gift for "Khatam Al-Quran" which are "kain batik" and "bunga telur" at home. I will review later. And tomorrow before going back to KL, I will go to JAIP and submit all the forms~

Groom's attire (Solemnization)

Hi peeps! Happy Monday :)

Today, I'm going to talk about groom's attire for solemnization. I think, I could put the status as DONE. Typically, a solemnization outfit is white/ivory/cream in color to mark the pureness of the ceremony. But since we've already chosen WHITE as our main color for our reception's outfit, so for our solemnization we've chosen GOLD since he doesn't even have a gold Baju Melayu yet. Lol ;p Yeah I'm on with that, I really don't mind. Here's the picture.

It was the intricate Swarovski. I'm very satisfied on that~

Solemnization veil

Hi bloggers!

A veil is the finishing touch on the perfect wedding dress. To veil or not to veil is a question that many brides ask themselves when it comes to accessorizing their wedding dress. Bridal wedding veils are a traditional addition to your wedding attire, but with so many different styles available. These days veils come in plain, embroidered, ribbon or lace edged, pearl or crystal beading and lace. There are many different lengths of bridal veils available, from short styles to long length veils.

The Length
For my solemnization veil, I just wanted to use chiffon shawl and veil and patched some laces with minor beading and for sure, it is just a short veil. I think, a short wedding veil is a great look we can add to our wedding style. Enough to look very simple and nice.

So, for solemnization, my veil and shawl (chiffon but it's not tudung lycra with awning as shown in the pictures) will be inspired by this:

#4 with diamond edged
#5 patched with lace
#6 I luv the shawl & I want it but without awning~

And, I'm so in loveeeeee with this veil and its inner with minor beading!! Wait wait ..... Surprise!!

Tadaaaaaaa!!!

#7 Ohh! Please ignore the MASK ;P

Luv the inner, but it's okay if wearing it with the chiffon shawl right??? What say you???~

Solemnization attire

Hi dearies,

I was on pure boredom just now and stumbled upon a few dresses that caught my attention when I went googling the ideas of design for my solemnization dress. This is my solemnization lace. The cloth material was given by him as part of our engagement gifts (hantaran). My future sis-in-law bought the material when she was at Bandung.

The cloth material
Now, the problem is to find the design for my solemnization dress. Kebaya, kurung modern or what? I guess it would be greater in making me look taller. Or maybe it looks like as simple as kurung modern? I’m still clueless, until now I can’t really decide how my solemnization dress should look like. The more survey I did, the more I can’t decide. *Sigh

While hunting a design for my solemnization, I saved up a few pictures of dress that caught my eye and I noticed about the pattern. Most of the “nikah” attire that I saved was all rather similar with kurung modern inspiration with flowy bottom like below:

I love so much the simplicity of the dress when I'm looking on Pengantin Magazine (June Edition).

June Edition

Mostly, the bottom part (kain) is my favourite. And here are some pictures:

One thing that I'm sure of, I wanted kurung modern with zip for easy wearing, A-line pattern, a cheongsam collared and the cosry buttom with slim sleeves for my solemnization dress. Actually, I love the cosry buttons. And I think, I also wanted some beads for the buttom part (kain) because the material for the bottom part was a plain raw silk. Here are some of my favourite designs:

Yeah, at the moment I'm looking for a taylor or fashion designer for my solemnization attire. And, I basically do not know if my ideas as mentioned above work or not. I really need the superdiva bridezilla advise and also the bride-to-be advise at this time~

Gubahan hantaran

In Malay culture, as in some other cultures, gifts are exchanged during engagement (bertunang) and marriage solemnization (nikah) ceremony. The gifts (hantaran) are usually decorated and fashioned into beautiful shapes. It is called as "gubahan". The number of gifts to be exchanged are agreed to before the ceremony, and traditionally odd numbers are chosen. For our engagement day, 5 vs 7 gifts were selected.

For him:

-Sirih junjung
-Sejadah
-Cupcakes
-Chocolates
-Perfume set
-Baju melayu, songket, baju melayu buttons
-Fruits

For her:

-Ring
-Shoes
-Perfume set
-Telekung, sejadah
-Kain baju lace

About "gubahan" for "hantaran", I wouldn't have engaged with the service of gubahan professional either a freelancer or someone working in the bridal industry. Because I've decorated my "hantaran" by myself : ) I just bought 7 round gold trays at Small Garden with lace tray cloth which is in brown gold colour (bought at SSF), some artificial flowers which is in blue colour and also the basket with ribbons. The tray looks like modern tray and very lightweight if compared to traditional tray that made of tembaga.

Artificial flowers, blue and gold ribbons, blue soft tissue paper as the basket cover

For the ribbon, I learned some video tutorials on how to make a ribbon bow by YouTube. Here are the links.

Tadaaaaa!! A ribbon bow done~

And, here are the pictures of "hantaran" for him.

Sejadah
Cupcakes (designed by me) (ordered from http://sugar4sugar.blogspot.com)

Just added with cadbury choclairs plus ordered from my friend, Iza
Perfume set
Baju melayu, songket and baju melayu buttons
Fruits

Thus, the DIY project is successfully done. I'm so happy and also discovered that it was hard work but ultimately rewarding~! ^_^

And the pictures below is the gifts for her. I meant for me :D

Ring
Shoes
Perfume set
Telekung and sejadah
Kain baju lace
Okay,  hope everyone is super enjoy when watching this entry. Let's have a love story that will never end. x.o.x.o :P ~ ❤

Engagement dress

The beginning stage of engagement plan generally involve the selection of theme and colours and end up wanting to buy something. So, engagement dress with the blue colour was something that I bought at the beginning. Because I was so excited. Lol. The dress was very very very simple and officially it's not in white colour. Because I have some plan for our big day. But I wouldn't  tell you okay! :P Actually, I just bought an engagement dress from online store which is in Brunei. It's also known as Gamis "jubah". I think, the dress was categorized as "busana muslimah" fashion. And for "tudung", I bought a simple plain shawl which is in soft blue colour with the blue inner. For accessories, I also bought a spider headband with diamonds from online store. Here are some more pictures~ ❤
